Ex-governor of Rivers State and Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has declared his ambition to run for the Office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.
As a party event of the APC, All Progressives Congress, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi announced: “I stand before you today to declare my intention and submit my application to serve as your next President.”

The party event had in attendance top APC chieftains, including ex- national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, Senator Gbemi Saraki, Senator Ali Ndume, Victor Giadom, and Salihu Mustapha.
The two-time Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker, had in February been turbaned as Dan Amanar Daura (trusted son of Daura) for his contributions to local and national development.
The President, who appointed Amaechi as his Campaign Director in the 2015 and 2019 elections, is a native of Daura in Katsina State.

Towing the same path with Amaechi, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church, has declared his intention to run for the 2023 presidency.
Claiming that he is the best suitable candidate to address Nigeria’s problems, Bakare disclosed his ambition on Saturday at the virtual meeting unveiling Project 16 to Nigerians in diaspora with the theme, “The portrait of a new Nigeria,” organized by the PTB4Nigeria in diaspora group.
Bakare urged Nigerians to consider the capacity of candidates before electing a leader in 2023, saying that he remains the rallying point to restore order in the country.
