A statement titled, “Stop the joke about interim government, elections will hold,” issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, also stated that it was not in doubt that the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is Buhari’s favoured candidate.

THE Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Delta State has scheduled February 4, 2023, for the conduct of mock accreditation with the Biamodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS.

Obi said though the situation was a verdict on governments’ inability to fix the economy, the issue “does not call for blame games but a determined effort to provide solutions”.

He spoke at an interactive session organized by the Arewa Joint Committee made up of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF), Jamiyyar Matan Arewa (JMA) Arewa House (Center for Historical Development and Research) and Arewa Research and Documentation Project (ARDP) in Kaduna on Saturday.

He spoke further:” Since I left office in 2015, I have been involved in the process of promoting democracy across Africa. My experience as an election observer, having led observation missions to many countries, is that many African countries are working hard to improve their elections and deepen the roots of democracy in their land.

“We journeyed together for a long time, and this journey will remain a life long journey. It has been a wonderful relationship and it can only get stronger. I am indebted to you all. Alhamdulillah.”
