For having carnal knowledge of a 15-month old baby, Justice Abiola Soladoye of the Ikeja sexual offences and domestic violence court has sentenced Seun Aina, 38, to 25 years imprisonment without the option of a fine.
The court in its judgment on Tuesday ordered that the convict’s name, Seun Aina, be entered into the sexual offenders register in Lagos State.
The prosecution led by Mr. Peter Owolabani told the Court that Seun Aina, a bus conductor, committed the offence at 5.30 pm on Jan. 3, 2018, at No. 5, Dominion Estate Road, Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos.
He told the Court that the convict was 35-year-old at the time he committed the offence and the minor was his neighbor’s daughter.
During the trial, the prosecution presented three witnesses including the investigating police officer and a medical doctor while the defence presented two witnesses; the convict and a medical doctor.
