Peace in the air, as Gombe welcomes Air Peace

Air Peace has launched commercial flights from Lagos and Abuja to the capital city of Gombe in the Gombe State of Nigeria.

The carrier said it would operate three weekly flights into the state. It’s a brand new E-195 aircraft with flight number P47443 from Lagos and Abuja, on Wednesday, landed at the Gombe Airport where several government officials welcomed the flight.

At a ceremony marking the inaugural flight into Sani Abacha International Airport in Gombe, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya said the state would continue to encourage, support, and partner Air Peace as the airline provides essential services to the citizens.

He assured the airline that his administration was ready to pay for services rendered by the airline anytime as the market forces dictate.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Manassah Daniel Jatau, said Air Peace would soon need to deploy a bigger aircraft into the state as there would be an increase in passenger traffic.

He promised that the state would continue to build factories and invest in economic activities that would attract investors across Nigeria into the state.

“Air Peace has come to the state that cherishes Peace, preaches Peace, practices Peace and working continuously for the maintenance of Peace, knowing too well that peace is the bedrock of all human ventures,” Yahaya said.

The airline’s Ground Operations Manager Ayodeji Adeyemi said the new route meant a lot to the Air Peace family as its ambition was to interconnect various cities and zones across Nigeria with seamless flights.
