A three-man Appeal Court Panel sitting in Port Harcourt, Friday, dismissed an interlocutory suit filed by Uche Secondus, suspended National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in a bid to stop the national convention of the party
The national convention of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, is scheduled to hold in the federal capital city of Abua on Saturday.
Reading the judgment, Justice Gabriel Kolawole described the suit before it as an after-thought and abuse of the court process.
The court blamed Secondus for not acting when his ward and local governments suspended him until now.
It mandated the PDP to go ahead with the planned convention.
